2. How many hours you book
We book by time on board, not by distance travelled. A four hour birthday run and a four hour pub crawl cost the same even if one covers twice the kilometres. This matters when you are comparing quotes: an operator quoting “per trip” and one quoting “per hour” are not comparable until you know how long you actually need the bus.
3. Which day and which date
Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest slots of the week and price accordingly. Sunday to Thursday is consistently the cheaper end. On top of the weekly pattern there are dates that book out months ahead across every operator in Sydney — school formal season, Melbourne Cup, New Year’s Eve and the December work-party run. If your date is flexible, moving off a Saturday is the single easiest way to bring the number down.
4. Where you are going
A loop around the Inner West and a run out to the Hunter Valley are different jobs. Longer routes, late finishes and trips outside the metropolitan area all add time, and time is what you are paying for.

One address is the simplest booking. Collecting a group from four different suburbs takes longer and needs more planning. What we do not charge for
A quote from us is a total, given in writing before you commit. There is no booking fee, no per-head surcharge, and no charge that appears after you have confirmed. Your driver is included — you are not hiring a vehicle and then finding someone to drive it.
Be careful comparing this against a headline rate elsewhere. A low hourly figure with a booking fee, a per-person charge and a separate driver cost attached is often the more expensive booking once it is all added up. Ask any operator for the total, not the rate.

- Your head count. The real number, including anyone who might still say yes. Every capacity we quote is passenger seats and does not include the driver.

Four ways to bring the cost down
- Move off Saturday night. The biggest single saving available, and it costs you nothing but a conversation with the group.
- Right-size the bus. Booking a 44 seat bus for 22 people is money spent on empty seats. Booking a 20 seat bus for 20 people with bags is uncomfortable. The size that fits is the size that is worth paying for.
- Book earlier. Not because early bookings are discounted, but because when the smaller buses are gone you are left choosing between a larger vehicle and a different date.
- Tighten the route. An hour of driving between distant pickups is an hour you are paying for and not enjoying.
